Composers Concordance presents the 5th annual marathon concert, entitled 'Composers Play Composers'. This year 'Comp Play Comp' will be part of the Composers Concordance 'Timbre Tantrum' Festival. Each of the six concerts of the festival will focus on a particular timbre. The marathon's focus will be on fretted instruments. This marathon will consist of a 3-hour performance with 26 composers playing their own works. The marathon will have three sets with two 10-minute breaks. Each set will feature eight composers performing their three-minute compositions. This year, the composers/performers include David Acker, Bruce Arnold, Doug Balliett, Greg Baker, Lynn Bechtold, Paul Carlon, John Clark, Dan Cooper, Glenn Cornett, Matt Fieldes, Joe Gallant, Jane Getter, Patrick Grant, Kevin James, Peter Jarvis, Alon Nechushtan, Daniel Palkowski, Milica Paranosic, Gene Pritsker, Rubens Salles, Daniel Schnyder, Larry Simon, Demetrius Spaneas, David Soldier, and Robert Voisey.
