About:
Composers Concordance, a presenting organization for contemporary music with a 41-year history of cutting-edge concert programming in NYC, announces its 14th Annual ‘Generations’ concert and composition competition. The program will feature music of Lynn Bechtold, Geoffrey Burleson, John Clark, Dan Cooper, Peter Jarvis, Stefania de Kenessey, 
Mark Kostabi, Lila Meretzky, Audrey Morse, Gene Pritsker, and Marina Vesic, as well as two competition winners: one composer age 25 or younger, and another composer age 65 or older. Emerald Trio: Karen Bogardus - flute, Orlando Wells - viola, and Geoffrey Burleson - piano, will perform. Competition winners are requested to attend the concert, which will be held on Monday, April 28th, 2025 at 7pm at Kostabi World: 225 West 22nd Street, New York City. Inability to attend the concert will not disqualify entrants, and virtual attendance is possible.

Guidelines:
All application materials must be received by Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 12pm EST;
No entry fee.
Two categories:
a. composers age 25 or younger [ie. as of April 28th, 2025]
b. composers age 65 or older [ie. as of April 28th, 2025]
Music should be written for trio of Flute, Violin/Viola, & Piano / OR subset, i.e. solos, duos are also welcome. Note: Pre-recorded electronic - accompanimental ‘tape’ parts are also welcome.
Duration: at most 5 minutes; only 1 entry per applicant please;
